The LGBTQ movement has given us a front of rainbows, sparkles, lovely music, and cute boys on TV series. But is that the reality? The biases of pop culture are being pushed down the throats of the masses by Hollywood, the legacy media, and Western nations, and it is increasingly getting harder to speak up about this movement. Conveniently, the uncomfortable truths concerning the devastating impact of the lifestyle have been ignored like the proverbial elephant in the room. Meanwhile, many false narratives are taking centre stage in our world. Unmasking LGBTQ offers information to the curious person seeking to understand what lurks in the inner sanctums of this movement. It equips the modern parent who is confused about how to have this unavoidable conversation with their children. It enlightens mentors, coaches, and spiritual leaders by offering poignant answers to the questions that their followers are asking. It offers hope for restoration to the person confused about their sexual identity, while calling for the restoration of biblically healthy masculinity and femininity. This book offers a unique blend of beneficial research, sound biblical reflections, and clear moral direction to a truth-starved generation that has lost its identity in sexual sin.

Once again, Nwokolo’s sure-handed humour and earthy style brings an amazing and unforgettable cast of characters to life. “To say that Chuma Nwokolo is a great writer is an understatement. The novel opens with the Introduction of Martin Were to the audience. Martin is presented as a member of the educated middle working class in the Kenyan society and is in every way, a perfect depiction of young man with a successful life laid before him. Paulina Akelo, who is barely out of her teens, and wife to Martin Were, is also presented at the beginning of the novel. She is presented as being naive and ignorant to the ways of ‘the city’. The story-line of the novel follows the life of this young couple, who experience the ups and downs of marriage life with childlessness being the main negatively-impacting force on their marriage. The Story of Martin and Paulina runs along that of political developments in Kenya as a young nation. The nation goes through political upheavals, which are mainly characterized by the assassination of key governing figures in the then ruling government. The downturns experienced by Kenya as a country are more or less similar to those experienced by Martin and Paulina in their marriage union. In the story, Paulina is seen to develop from the naive and ignorant lady she was at the beginning of the novel, into a confident and well informed individual, capable of voicing her stand in what she believes in.

Coping with Marginalisation: The Case...

This book examines the challenges of marginalisation that are faced by Muslims of two countries; Kenya and Uganda in their quest for survival. For Kenya, we deliberately focus on the Somali Kenyan or Kenyan Somali. We argue that despite the well-documented marginalisation of both communities, they have risen above them and not only survived but thrived in some instances, leading to the realization that although they carry a minority status, their influence is positively disproportionate to their numbers. So in a sense, it is a book on resilience.
