Every generation asks the same questions: Where did we come from? Why is our world the way it is? Where is history leading? The Bible offers a unified answer—one that stretches from the beginning of creation to the fulfillment of God's eternal kingdom.
Clarion Call: History of the Past, the Present, and the Future is an invitation to explore the Bible's prophetic message with clarity, confidence, and purpose. Drawing from the books of Daniel and Revelation, this study presents the unfolding story of God's plan for humanity through carefully organized charts and Scripture-based analysis. It connects the past, the present, and the future, helping readers see how biblical prophecy reveals the steady hand of God throughout history.
More than a study of prophetic events, this book points to the central message of Scripture: the character of God, the mission of Jesus Christ, and God's invitation to every person to respond in faith. It examines the Bible's final messages to the world, showing why they remain deeply relevant in an age of uncertainty, moral confusion, and global change.
Whether you are new to the study of prophecy or have spent years searching the Scriptures, Clarion Call encourages you to examine God's Word for yourself. Its visual format and straightforward presentation make complex prophetic themes easier to follow while remaining firmly rooted in the biblical text.
The Bible declares that God's final message is proclaimed to "every nation, tribe, language, and people." This book is written in that same spirit—inviting readers from every background to consider the evidence of Scripture, understand the times in which we live, and discover the hope found in God's promises.
As history moves toward its appointed conclusion, God's call remains clear. This is an invitation to look beyond today's headlines, see the larger story of redemption, and prepare your heart for the future He has revealed.

The Origin of Luo Culture and Spiritu...

Title: Origin of Luo Culture and Spirituality Author: John Ming’ala Obure In his groundbreaking book “A History of the Luo Speaking Peoples of Eastern Africa,” Prof Bethwell A. Ogot traces the Luo’s history back to a place in South Sudan called Bahr El Ghazal and documents their migration pattern from South Sudan into several countries in the eastern Africa region. The book states that “colonialism re-wrote many of life rules,” which significantly changed our knowledge about our history and origin. Most of the changes were geographical; however, the most detrimental ones blurred our identity. As a result, these changes have significantly distorted the history of Africans in general and particularly the once-unified Luo-speaking people, who were ultimately divided. The Luo-speaking people are a monolithic group that has remained culturally distinct for centuries despite the split into various clans scattered across several countries in Eastern and Central Africa. Definitely the history of the Luo, their culture and belief system goes way back beyond Bahr-El-Ghazal in South Sudan. This book has managed to trace the genesis of the Luo people back to Noah’s time and for the first time the true identity of the people who has been known as the Nubians is revealed. The book has documented possible origins of most of the Luo cultural and spiritual practices we are familiar with today. The author has also relied on his own intuition and imagination to explain some of the fundamental gaps in understanding the spiritual relations between man and God of the Luo people. The book also explains many deep and complex concepts in the Luo spirituality such as the spiritual connections in common cultural practices such as marriage rites, feasting in burials, sex and marriage, life after death and the certain thing about the environment around us.

Christian Missionary Education and It...

KShs2,800.00 KShs2,400.00
This work focuses on Christian missionaries’ education in Gusii, western Kenya, between 1909 and 1963. It examines the socio-economic and educational aspects of Gusii society in the pre-Christian period. A key observation is that traditional African education was practical, mnemonic, and real; it was worthwhile for the culture of Abagusii. The missionaries introduced a largely theoretical education that was alien to Gusii. Missionaries, through condemnation of the ways of life of Abagusii, inflicted a deadly blow to traditional education. Gusii educational processes (e.g. rites of passage such as circumcision) and venues of education (e.g. ebisarate) were termed ‘heathen’. Colonial government support for missionary education further weakened indigenous ways and practices, rendering traditional Gusii education helpless. The alien education destroyed traditional structures and systems, and enabled the first modern elite classes to emerge. It produced clerical and administrative cadres for the colonial administration, in addition to commercial and political elites. Mission schools, further, produced teachers who, though not well educated, spread and planted modern education in Gusii society. All this submerged old elites: the rainmakers, medicine men, seers, and others. The actions of missionaries and the colonial government shaped Gusii society anew. Their impact on Gusii culture, economy, healthcare and administration, among others, was irreversible. What would have been the trajectory in Gusii had the foreigners integrated indigenous education into their schemes? To what degree would Gusii society, its culture and knowledge have been preserved? How prominent, for instance, would indigenous ways of life (e.g. medicine) be part of modern Gusii society?

Following the arrival of the white man, many Kenyan communities abandoned their cultures and embraced Western ways. Using cunning, trickery and coercion, the white man was able to get Africans to turn their backs on their own cultures. Early colonists knew that if Africans remained steadfast to their cultures, they would find it extremely to control them. As a result, Africans cultures were labeled primitive and backward. And soon, the core of African culture - religion - was attacked. Once the African embraced the Western Religion, it became quite easy to submit to the white man. Education and salvation became the new symbols of status and power. This book, Mũtiiri Mũtaarani, is written in Kikuyu and focuses on the traditional customs and beliefs of the Agîkûyû community - Joseph Ngunjiri - (Sunday Nation 18.03.2012

Money is power. When you have power, it can be intoxicating. That is why the power gate-keepers that money spawn like to delight in the broth of infallibility. But when powerful people are dragooned to their knees, it is always disastrous. Let's think of Harvey Weinstein-who was the Executive Producer of almost every film you could find on Netflix, when they started. He provided them with all sorts of mooi content as you'd imagine. Still and all when his time was up, his fall was deep, steep, and tragic. Harvey had the money, so he had the power. Money is magnetic. It brings close to you, the wrong people. As you have the money, you have the power. There are many people hanging around to demystify you and wring that power away from you.

The Vanishing Indigenous Heritage of ...

Abagusii are a Bantu-speaking group found in South Western Kenya, also called the Gusii region. Like other indigenous communities in the world, the people of Gusii have a rich heritage that captures their history and culture. The community’s heritage is at the core of their identity. For instance, Abagusii were deeply spiritual, be it in the administration of justice, an individual’s conduct or relationships with others in the society. As the community settled down, some places became more important to them. Some of these sites assumed spiritual significance. Others became historical with inscriptions that predate the arrival of the group on present-day Gusii. Places such as Ngoro ya Mwaga, at the base of the Manga Ridge, were important to the spiritual lives of Abagusii. It was sacred, and clear rules governed the manner of conduct while visiting the location. Other locations like the caves in Sameta have rock-inscribed writings that have stood the test of time. They predate the group’s arrival in that land. Some developments saw the transformation of people’s lives, such as the building of the first watermills, which substantially eased the tedious work of preparing cooking flour. This book points to the potential these places hold for present-day Gusii, Kenya and the world. As the authors write, ‘It is also important to note that other than satisfying the social-religious needs of the local community, if well managed and presented, these sites can become a source of cultural heritage tourism.’ Not only would this promote the heritage of the people of Gusii but also become a source of revenue for the two counties of Kisii and Nyamira. Further, the work underlines the importance of preserving the sites, and the heritage they represent, for future generations and the world at large. Unfortunately, as the land sizes decline in Gusii, there is encroachment and (in many cases) destruction of what was once sacred. When such destruction takes place, it goes with the historical and cultural representation it holds.

Drawing upon personal experiences and extensive research, the author explores the 2017 elections and their aftermath within a historical framework of politics and concludes that what should have been Kenya's freest election turned out to be its most tainted in the multiparty era. With support of powerful actors within and outside Kenya, the Jubilee government crafted a robust narrative holding that President Uhuru Kenyatta 'won' the 8 August election, and that the Supreme Court in nullifying it impeached only the recording and transmission of the results.
