Chapter 1: Reality: an exploration of the nuances and complexities of the reality of the world, and the need to, first and foremost, accept and embrace it as such, and, secondly, learn to contend and dance with it.
Chapter 2: Adulting: a discussion on the wild, discomforting, and often unpredictable twenties, and an attempt at answering some of the most pressing questions of this stage of life.
Chapter 3: Transformation: painting the mosaic of the ideal New Adult and exploring the metamorphosis of the young person who is poised to make change in the modern world.
Chapter 4: Usefulness: It is not enough to be transformed; it is important to become useful. Discussing some ideas for making the New Adult a force for change in the world.
Chapter 5: “Inside Job”: Digging deeper into the New Adult to uncover and address salient issues. The New Adult is a human first and foremost, and human beings are complex. The work we do inside ourselves is more important and fundamental than the externalities.
A note about style: I have written in first-person dialogue. This was not a difficult stylistic choice since I wanted to base the book on my own experiences and struggles as a twenty-something. It is my Diary. And by extension, it is the diary that we can all pull a leaf from. My aim is to invite you into my mind so that together we may explore the New Adults we are, and the caliber of young people we ought to be.
