Handsome, wealthy, and well-born, Jonas Tallent has everything a gentleman needs to enjoy London society to the fullest - and he has. He's played cards until dawn, flirted with eligible young ladies, and made love to some ineligible ones. But now he's restless, bored with the mindless frivolity and careless pleasure, so its with a sense of relief that he takes up the reins of his family's estate in rural Devon. His most pressing need is to hire a new manager for the inn--the center of village life. Such a small task, yet he discovers few decent applicants are willing to live in a quiet country backwater. Then genteel but impoverished Miss Emily Beauregard applies for the position. Jonas's initial response is an emphatic "no!" Ladies, especially one as attractive as Emily, belong in the ballroom or the bedroom, not running an inn. But with no alternatives, he grudgingly allows Emily to try, and she rapidly proves herself worthy, resurrecting the inn with tact and skill. But Em has a secret. Its not only the need to provide for herself and her orphaned siblings that has brought her to Devon. She's surreptitiously searching for a family treasure hidden in the village, the only clues to its location a cryptic rhyme handed down through the generations. Emily is determined to solve the puzzle, find the treasure and reinstate her family to its rightful place in society. Yet Em hasn't bargained on Jonas. His experience is temptation, his attentions irresistible, and he's determined to aid her in her quest. He eventually persuades her to trust him, and together they unravel the clues . But someone else is watching, waiting, and once the family legacy is unearthed, the villain strikes, threatening Em, her family, and the love she and Jonas have discovered in each others' arms.

I had had a full day of activities when I picked up this book to read, just a little bit, before I fall asleep. As I got into the first story, it felt like I was holding my breath wondering what happens next. I was experiencing the character’s life, the difference was, while he was making his choices, right or wrong, I was taking mental notes on what to do or not to do when caught in that situation😅. I read that one story and the finished the book the next day. And finally I was able to release that breath I had been holding. I developed strong feelings towards the characters, both positive and negative, I learnt what to do or not do if I commit murder😄, just to cover my bases, and I got a few writing tips. I would totally recommend this book for your next read.

I love the way there’s a plot.. i believe this is important because it gives an edge to the story.. providing the much needed mental path to follow the twists and turns of the story.. i like how the characters infuse together to provide this realistic experience.. better yet.. its like an excerpt from real life

The break down of events makes it easier to pore over the three crime thrillers happening in this book.
You know a work of art is intriguing when the reader develop certain feelings towards different characters.
3 Bolts From The Blue by L.K leaves judgemental readers like me to curse(the likes of Harry),sympathize with (the likes of Isaac) and admire others (the detectives). The suspense and plot twists keep one glued to the incredible read.

The murder mystery stories go beyond your normal predictable TV show plots. Lesalon Kasaine gives us a chance to be immersed in each mystery, to ask questions, then surprises us with exciting turn of events.
The setting is all too familiar for Kenyans in particular. Read this book and you begin to think like a detective. It’s a captivating read.

There are stories you read, and you can’t shake them off. Their thrill lingers in your memory long after you finish the book. And Three Bolts from the Blue by Lesalon Kasaine is one such story. L.K., you did a splendid job with this one. From the first chapter to the last, I was glued.
