This play, by the renowned Kenyan thespian, Oluoch-Madiang', is an interesting reading of the Kenyan socio-political deceits and illusions of power/authority, as well as the peoples’ presumed complicity/timidity in their own exploitation. This is a capturing play that very appropriately and in sustaining, unflinching satire captures the socio-political falsity that the Kenyan postocolony has become. The satire is sustaining as it allows the readers/audience an inner and elevated insight into the warped and fraud psyche of the Kenyan politician. The satirical/symbolic affront on words (Tapeli Pingamizi, Katili Kimeenderi, Pollutician …) is all the more arresting.
