Wonder: A New Testament by Britton Lee – Paperback

Wonder: A New Testament is Britton Lee’s highly personal and intimate collection of short stories and poems that breathe new life into love and creation. It reads – in part – as a loose personal memoir intertwined with folklore, while containing philosophical themes steeped in fantasy. Lee intertwines parts of his life story with spiritual tales and ancestral mythology. Cleverly managing to serve them as candy coated nuggets of wisdom. Then he seamlessly mends your heart after stirring your soul with his sweet illustrious language.

To call it his first book would be largely incorrect. Lee has been producing books since he got his grasp of the English language, in both written and verbal forms, at a very early age. His first book, albeit bound by red ribbon taken from his grandmother’s sewing kit (without her knowing), was illustrated with crayons and colored pencils. Which qualifies the book you are now holding as the first book that Lee has decided to share with the world.

Read it for its linguistic beauty. Read it for its charming philosophical strength. Read it for its brilliant simplicity. Or read it for its ability to make you smile, then Wonder… and then Wonder some more…
