What if the Church was never meant to stay inside the building?
The Church Has Left the Building is a call to rediscover the Church’s biblical mandate beyond the walls of a Sunday gathering. It is not a rejection of the Church—it is a call to the Church to become what Jesus commissioned her to be.
Jesus loves His Church. Pastors, teachers, evangelists, apostles and prophets have a vital role in equipping the Body of Christ. But Scripture makes something equally clear: ministry was never meant to belong exclusively to ministers.
According to Ephesians 4:11–12, ministry gifts are given to equip the saints “for the work of the ministry.” The saints are equipped. The saints minister. The saints carry Christ into the world.
This book challenges the culture of spectatorship and invites every believer to embrace the responsibility of discipleship. Through Scripture, it explores foundational questions about the Great Commission, discipleship, baptism, obedience, spiritual authority and the believer’s role in discipling people and nations.
Rather than asking, “What have we always done?”, this book brings us back to a more important question:
What did Jesus actually command?
The Church Has Left the Building is an invitation to encounter the words of Jesus afresh—and then take them beyond the walls, into homes, workplaces, communities, cities and nations.
The Church was never meant to be a place we simply attend.
It was always meant to be a people who go.
