Moses and the Penpal

Readers of Moses will remember his disastrous first term at Mukibi's Educational Institute for the Sons of African Gentlemen. This term, however, Moses is hoping for the best and is looking forward to showing his pet, Mildred, to his friend, King Kong. n nBut things start badly and get worse. There's a new boy, Magara, who is a bully. Then King Kong loses the election for dormitory prefect. Then Mildred disappears... n n'Moses and Mildred' is the second title in the adventures of Barbara Kimenye's irresponsible Ugandan schoolboy.

It's half-term. Most of the boys at Mukibi's Educational Institute for the Sons of African Gentlemen are going home for the holiday, but Moses and King Kong have a better plan. Why not sneak off and spend the weekend in Tororo, the nearby town, and have some fun by themselves while the staff think they're at home and their families think they are at school? n nIt's a great idea, but, as so often happens with the two friends' great ideas, things tend to go a bit wrong. First of all they meet Finito, a seedy-looking old man, but he's in a remarkably interesting line of business, and he offers the boys a well-paying job. It isn't really their fault that Finito shortly finds his business in ruins and himself on the run from the police. The boys too have their own problems: Mr Karanja, the school's deputy headmaster, is hot on their trail. n n'Moses on the Move' is the seventh title in the adventures of Barbara Kimenye's mischievous Ugandan schoolboy.

Moses Kibaya has just been expelled from his sixth school. Quite a record for a fifteen-year-old, he feels, and in a way, he is rather proud of it. In fact, his only worry is what his Uncle Silasi is going to do about it ... n nHe soon finds out. And with his arrival at his seventh school, Mukibi's Educational Institute for the Sons of African Gentlemen, Moses' troubles begin. n n'Moses' is the first title in the adventures of Barbara Kimenye's mischievous Ugandan schoolboy.
