When the drums of tradition thunder through her village, sixteen-year-old Ola, daughter of a proud chief, feels the walls of expectation closing in The elders call it as a credited, passage into womanhood. But Ola sees something else: a blade that's ever more than flesh, a silence that steals the voices of women before her. Defying her father and the customs that have shaped her world, Ola makes a desperate choice to run. Her escape hurls her into landscape where loyalty, power, and survival clash beneath the burning African sun. Every step away from home deepens her courage but tightens the chase behind her. As storms of dust and thunder gather on the horizon, Ola must decide what freedom truly costs and whether one girl’s defiance can spark a revolution of spirit in a landbound by fear and tradition.
