Vendor Biography

Gem Kawira is a 18-year-old human-shaped dolphin (now 20) who
lives in Nairobi, Kenya with their parents and siblings.

Their love affair with poetry began when they were a little 12-year-old rose bud struggling to bloom and wear their bright colours with pride.

Poems quickly became their lifeboat and
their best friend, helping them stay afloat in the tumultuous storm that their life had become and mould their pain into art.

This is their first collection of poems and definitely not
the last.
