When Kandie returns to Ego Valley after five years, she expects the past to remain buried. Instead, it welcomes her like her like an open wound. The scars she fought so hard to outrun begin tearing open once more, forcing her to confront the truth behind her family's death and the darkness that has haunted her for years.
But Kandie is not the only one interested in the past. As buried secrets slowly rise to the surface, shadows begin closing in around her. Some people have learned to survive within the darkness, willing to drag anyone into it.
Desperate to uncover the truth, Kandie finds herself trapped between fear, grief and an evil that never truly disappeared. The more she chases the flickering ray of light that appears and dissappears within the the dark, the more she risks losing herself to it, and the light keeps fading around her.
