For centuries, Christians have spoken of the Rapture of the Church – that mysterious moment when believers across the world will be caught up together in an instant.

In the Blink of an Eye brings this prophecy home, following the lives of seven ordinary Kenyans through the extraordinary events of a single evening –  from sunset to 11:50 p.m – as the ‘night’ of the Rapture unfolds.

We meet Javan, a.k.a “Tops”, a thirty-something man still living with his parents and trapped in a destructive addiction to betting;

Dan and Kahaki, whose crumbling “situationship” is taking a devastating toll on their six-year-old daughter, Joy;

Larry “KK”, an aggressive millionaire and owner of the betting app that is ruining Top’s life; we also get to experience his sharp-tongued wife Kez;

Leila and Nicky, KK’s two teenaged children, struggling to make sense of this toxic family environment; and Rhoda, the faithful and discerning housekeeper.

Some of them will vanish. Others will remain. But each will be confronted with the most important question of all: Are you ready for eternity?
